Common printed formats
These will make the most of your budget and can be produced as a standard item by most printing companies. Because of this, production times are also likely to be quicker – ideal for those last-minute promotions. They can also be more cost-effective for designing and creating a sample.
C-Fold Leaflets
These are a popular choice for individual product or service leaflets and introductory promotional letters. They are also known as tri-fold, letter fold and roll-fold leaflets.
Z-Fold Leaflets
These are most commonly used for leaflets where the content needs to be gradually revealed or follow a journey of information across multiple pages.
4 Page Single Fold Leaflets
Ideal for leaflets or information cards. It is also known as a half-fold because it involves simply folding a sheet of material in half.
8 Page to 24 Page Stitched Brochures
Brochures are ideal for multipage content. They often describe all the services you offer or a product catalogue. Brochures consist of several half-folds stapled together at two points along the spine. Depending upon the material thickness, brochures can typically have up to 24 pages.
More complex printed formats

Some printing companies may not offer these in-house, so lead times might be longer. They are great for marketing campaigns that need extra impact, but not the best choice for tight deadlines.

8 Page French Fold Leaflets and Posters
Great for leaflets or promotional information posters with a lot of content that can be opened out to a larger size.
Butterfly Fold Leaflets
Ideal for leaflets that need to reveal an extra-long image or infographics when opened out.
Map Fold Leaflets
Designed to contain a lot of content that can be stored in your pocket, then opened out.
